The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LA&PS) is the largest Faculty at York University with over 23,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and almost 100 programs delivered through 24 Departments, Schools and Colleges, plus the IBM Markham Learning Site. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the graduate program, providing administrative support, advice and guidance to the Graduate Program Director (GPD), faculty and students, and providing information on University, Faculty and unit policies, procedures and regulations related to the graduate program. As the Graduate Program Assistant you will provide continuity, historical perspective and transitional support to GPDs during their term appointments. You will also support the vision, mission, values and strategic direction of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and York University.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A College Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent (e.g. one year of related University courses) and a minimum three (3) years of administrative experience in an academic School/Department, including supporting academic and administrative processes and activities, providing degree and certificate information to students, and customer service. Some knowledge of graduate program degree requirements and processes are required.
