Job Details

Position Title: Part-Time Professor, Web Design and Development
Status: Part-time
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Media and Creative Arts
Campus/Location: North Campus and International Graduate School
Salary: Academic start salaries are determined by qualifications and years of related experience.

What you will do:
The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Web Design and Development Program. Candidates will be responsible for creating an effective adult learning environment, facilitating learning and classroom interaction, assessing student progress, providing student feedback, and participating in the curriculum development process using a collaborative model of engagement.

What you bring to the role:
The successful candidate must hold credentials at the post-secondary level with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Web Design and Development. The successful candidate must also have experience teaching adults in a community college and/or university setting where they have had the opportunity to develop their teaching practice, understand the learning process; and demonstrate their dedication to student success. Due to the nature of this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent creativity, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, and evaluation abilities. Experience teaching with e-learning (development and implementation) is an asset.

Specific skills required: Javascript ES6 to ES9, Relational Database experience, NodeJS and Express.
