Reporting to the Director of Educational Innovation, the Manager of Educational Innovation is a key member of the Lassonde Education Innovation Studio (LEIS). The Manager of Educational Innovation brings business design, experience design, and interaction design to the forefront of the educational innovation portfolio areas, initiatives, project management and operations within the Lassonde Education Innovation Studio. The Manager works to support all portfolio leads across LEIS and serves as the lead design expert, while cultivating a culture of design in Lassonde's teaching and learning community. Responsible for key design deliverables across a variety of stages and client priorities, from research and insight generation to concept and delivery. The Manager will be part of a blended cross-functional team that will tackle all aspects of the design process, help to lead client engagements and guiding other members of the design team. Moving from insights to ideas, the Manager creatively solves complex problems, threading design and business thinking together to deliver inventive, durable and thoughtful services from LEIS. Apply human centered methodologies to strengthen the LEIS business components of design work to create value and services that are viable, valuable and have impact towards achieving the unit, and School level priorities and goals connected to teaching and learning innovation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

Master's Degree required in Psychology, Neuroscience, or Human Behaviour. In addition, a Master's Degree in Design, Strategic Foresight and/or Innovation preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Business, Experience, and Interaction Design. Minimum of 5 years in project management and operational management. Preference will be given to candidates that have worked within a university setting. Experience must also include finance, events, and program management. Current understanding of post-secondary education sector priorities and pressures including those specifically related to engineering education an asset. Experience managing a team in an environment of change and managing staff in a unionized environment
