The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Uniform Assistant provides high level sales service to students, parents, alumni, and employees visiting the shop. Passionate about customer service, you enjoy engaging with youth and their families and supporting activities within the shop. This position interacts and services our community by supporting student fittings, labeling and pricing merchandise, responding to inquiries and maintaining inventory.
The hours consist of a part-time schedule between October to April with additional hours during peak times, including full-time hours between May to September. The Uniform Shop is closed for the month of July when the Assistant is not required to work.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop good relationships with Students, Parents, Alumnae and Staff through optimal customer service
Engage and interact with students and families visiting the shopSupport the Shop Manager in daily operations of the store
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system including sales, returns and inventory data
Maintenance of Shopify site to update inventory items available for purchase
Manager with merchandise deliveries including confirming accuracy of packing slips
Label or price merchandise and clean up displays to upkeep a tidy environment
Stock shelves and displays with merchandise
Address customer inquiries and concerns and answer the phone
Assist with student uniform fittings
Collaborate with Manager to create and implement seasonal and sales displays in the Shop
Maintain Health & Safety protocols
Filling online orders and prepare for shipping including taking orders to post office
Schedule uniform order pickup
Monitor inventory and assist with inventory counts as required and at year end
Candidate Profile
As the ideal candidate you have an acute sense of customer service and have at least 1 to 3 years of retail experience. We are looking for the candidate to be confident and comfortable engaging students and parents to deliver an elevated experience and with a keen attention to detail.. You will be motivated to achieve great results and you require little supervision to complete assigned duties.
