Physical and Health Education Teacher
Located in the Annex neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, Royal St. George's College is an urban day school for boys that combines academic excellence with a stimulating and supportive environment. RSGC offers a challenging program of academics, athletics, the arts, outdoor education, community outreach and co-curricular activities designed to fulfill our College’s Vision of “lifelong Georgians ready to use their scholarship, compassion, conscience and courage to make a difference.”
Working primarily with our vibrant Junior School team, we are looking for a collaborative and loving Physical and Health Education Teacher. This is a part-time contract position from August 2022 until June 2023. The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable teacher with a passion for pedagogical approaches in the sphere of physical education.

Position Requirements:
- A deep understanding of modern pedagogies, Inquiry-Based Learning and the power of Cooperative Learning environments;
- Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills;
- A passion for holistic wellness and an ability to articulate the interconnected relationship between wellness and learning;
- Demonstrated ability to build anti-oppressive school culture, inclusion, equity and a sense of belonging for each student;
- A commitment to demonstrating practitioner research and data to inform their practice;
- An enthusiastic, kind and positive nature;
- A commitment to the co-curricular life of the school;
- Strong relationship-building skills and a joy for working with children of this age group.
Work and Educational Experience:
- Relevant teaching experience
- Ontario Teaching Certificate
- A Bachelor of Education in good standing eligible with the Ontario College of Teachers
