Regional Advisor, In-School Program

QUEBEC & FRENCH LANGUAGE SCHOOL DISTRICTS

Contract Role - Contract length: 6 – 9 months starting March 2025.

Contract length depends on the amount of time incumbent can devote to this role. This position could be part or full time.

 Work Location:

Remote. Most of this role will be completed remotely; however, it is expected that travel to offices in St. George, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; and Quyon, Quebec is required.

 Posting Type:

BILINGUAL: This posting requires fluency in both French and English. It is expected communication with key stakeholders will occur in both languages.

EXTERNAL & INTERNAL: This posting seeks interest from bilingual candidates with experience working in and navigating key regional stakeholders, such as Ministere de l’Education Quebec, school boards and districts in the province of Quebec, and French language school boards in other provinces across Canada.  

 What would you be doing?

  • Assess existing THFC In-School program curriculum for suitability and alignment with the Quebec curriculum and public education structure. Make amendments to program content and delivery format as required to ensure alignment.
  • Establish regional roll out and execution strategy for the THFC In-School program in Quebec.
  • Facilitate translation of existing program documentation, resources, and marketing/communication materials (translation conducted by third-party services).
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with school partners (teachers, administrators, senior leadership etc.) to implement program during the 2025/2026 school year.
  • Establish formal partnership agreements with school boards in identified priority regions.
  • Ensure program delivery partners and sponsoring organizations are aligned with the Tims Camps youth engagement framework, charitable purpose mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and create methodology to ensure program partners and program participants in Quebec meet the qualification/eligibility criteria for participation.
  • Based on the outcome of the program launch in Quebec and French language school districts, set multi-year growth plans and impact targets. Build contingency plans for program roll-out based on challenges and opportunities identified through the development and implementation of the program.
  • Identify training needs and develop appropriate materials for THFC staff and educational partners.
  •  Support hiring and onboarding process of operational field staff to execute program once roll out is established.
  • Create communication materials and provide regular reports regarding the Quebec regional roll out to internal and external stakeholders.

Does this sound like you?

Qualifications include:

  • Advanced University degree and/or college background in related field or, equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Ministere de l’Education Quebec, school districts across the province of Quebec, and French language school districts across Canada.
  • Previous or current experience working in senior level roles in public education would be considered an asset.
  • 10+ years’ experience in providing leadership and/or oversight to youth programming.  
  • Ability to exercise and leverage strategic acumen in education and political contexts.
  • Strong judgement, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to conduct and/or coordinate research, craft backgrounders, briefs and reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems thinking, change management, people management, coaching, and development.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills with strong time management, project management, and organizational skills across multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong digital literacy skills and a command of a variety of information and communication technologies.
  • Bilingual in French and English required.
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Search.
  • Ability to travel across Canada.
