Geography Teacher
Contract
Commencing January 6, 2025 until June 2025
We are seeking a Geography Teacher to teach the Grade 9 Exploring Canadian Geography course. This position involves teaching one class every other day. Additionally, we invite the successful candidate to take on supply teaching opportunities on alternate days through the end of the school year.
Who You Are:
Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in Geography
Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications
A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice
Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset
A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning
Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.
Why Work at BSS?
Depending on qualifications and years of experience, the teacher will be paid on the faculty grid for the (1) course being taught. The supply teaching will be paid at the supply teacher rate
