York Region District School Board is the third largest school district in Ontario, with over 130,000 students in 182 elementary schools and 33 secondary schools. York Region students consistently perform above average in provincial testing and the Board is one of the top achievers in Ontario. We believe this is due to a unique combination of students who are prepared and motivated to succeed; teachers who are skilled at helping students learn; strong educational leaders who subscribe to a common vision of excellence; and a supportive community that understands the importance of quality public education.
We seek leaders who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to advance the Board towards attainment of its multi-year goals – improving student achievement, health and well-being, and championing human rights and inclusive education.
Qualified applicants must:
Continuously increase student achievement and well-being through a culture of caring and learning;
Promote positive relationships among students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members;
Support student and staff mental and physical well-being; and,
Ensure equitable access to differentiated and relevant learning opportunities, resources and programs.
If these attributes describe you, we invite you to learn more about an administrative career with the York Region District School Board.
