Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE)
French Immersion/Extended French Program
(Bilingual – both French/English Fluency Required)
Full-Day Kindergarten and Extended Day Programs
The Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) partners with Educators to plan and implement the Full Day Kindergarten Program for French Immersion within a classroom and Extended Day Program.
The candidate will provide supervision and age-appropriate programming for groups of students as part of the French Immersion program. The candidate will collaborate in the design of programs and environments which will enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
Locations vary across the city
Hours of work: 6-hour shifts, scheduled based on program needs
Core day shifts are during the school day between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Extended Day Program schedules may be between 7:00 am to 2:00 pm for Early Shift; or
11:45 am to 6:45 pm for a Late Shift
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Hourly Rate:
Supply Rate: $25.10
- 3.4% statutory holiday pay and 4% vacation pay are added to these rates
Temporary Rate after working 30 days rate increase to $33.47
- 3.8% statutory holiday pay and 4% vacation pay are added to these rates
