Position Title: Curriculum Specialist, Digital Innovation
Status: Full Time (1 Year)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Minimum Starting Salary: $93,705; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.
About the Innovative Learning Department at Humber:

We provide the leadership, infrastructure, and support for faculty to adopt new teaching techniques, explore advanced digital and AI tools, and push boundaries to ensure students gain the skills and competencies needed for both employment and lifelong employability. The Innovative Learning team is essential in helping faculty cultivate the skills and attributes that define a polytechnic education.
About the Curriculum Specialist Role:
The Curriculum Specialist, Digital Innovation, reporting to the Dean, Innovative Learning, will lead the development of curricula that showcase Humber’s commitment to Digital Innovation. This will include a necessary awareness and connection to external areas of innovation. The incumbent will focus on the creation of website content, supporting the development and continued improvement of Massive Online Open Courses that bring Humber’s innovations to the global stage. They will also liaise with important system-wide supports (e.g., eCampusOntario) that provide strategic foresight in digital-by-design education. Internally, the incumbent will facilitate workshops, provide consultations, develop professional learning certificates, aimed at equipping part-time and full-time faculty and staff with the skills to design and deliver effective digital learning experiences. These competencies are operationalized through relevant professional learning theories and frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), critical digital pedagogy, inclusive design, evidence-based innovations in curriculum design and review, and other learner centered approaches that foster global citizenship in faculty and staff as well as the adult learners they support.

Education
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master of Education
Applicants with a Bachelor of Education in addition to a Master of Arts in a related discipline (Adult Education, etc.) or a Master of Sciences will be reviewed.
