Job Description

 

Reporting to the lead hand(s) of the Distribution Centre; the Summer students will be responsible for assisting in assembly process of stock materials. This process includes assisting picking, packing, replenishing, and verifying of stock materials within a computerized environment (SAP) to ensure the timely delivery of school supplies in accordance with the predetermined schedule.

 

Summary of Duties

 

  • Assist in processing Material documents (sales orders) including picking, packing and verification of requested orders within a computerized environment (SAP);
  • Assisting in the counting process (physical inventory)
  • Operating manual material handling equipment, such as pump trucks
  • Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, safe and secure work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

To be considered to work this summer you will be required to provide proof of:

  • Your full-time enrolment for the current 2024/2025 school year
  • Your full-time enrolment for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year

 

Special Requirements

 

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move stock by hand using basic material handling equipment
  • Ability to lift boxes, containers and supplies for shipment etc, up to 30 kg (65 lbs)
  • Requires wearing safety equipment (e.g., safety shoes and vests)

Ability to work day or afternoon shift depending on operational needs (shifts are 6 – 2 or 3 – 11) of Fridays afternoon shift (12 – 8)

$18.42 per hour
