Job Description
Reporting to the lead hand(s) of the Distribution Centre; the Summer students will be responsible for assisting in assembly process of stock materials. This process includes assisting picking, packing, replenishing, and verifying of stock materials within a computerized environment (SAP) to ensure the timely delivery of school supplies in accordance with the predetermined schedule.
Summary of Duties
- Assist in processing Material documents (sales orders) including picking, packing and verification of requested orders within a computerized environment (SAP);
- Assisting in the counting process (physical inventory)
- Operating manual material handling equipment, such as pump trucks
- Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, safe and secure work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be considered to work this summer you will be required to provide proof of:
- Your full-time enrolment for the current 2024/2025 school year
- Your full-time enrolment for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year
Special Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to move stock by hand using basic material handling equipment
- Ability to lift boxes, containers and supplies for shipment etc, up to 30 kg (65 lbs)
- Requires wearing safety equipment (e.g., safety shoes and vests)
Ability to work day or afternoon shift depending on operational needs (shifts are 6 – 2 or 3 – 11) of Fridays afternoon shift (12 – 8)

Work term will begin on May 6 to Labour Day.

$18.42 per hour
