We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior School French Teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the French language and a commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for young students. 

What You’ll Do:   

• Plan, prepare, and deliver French lessons tailored to junior school students in alignment with the Ontario curriculum

• Have the ability to differentiate lesson plans based on the needs of your students  

• Participate in co-curricular activities including coaching, clubs, trips and participating in the school community as a whole  

• Make contributions that productively support the overall well-being and growth of students in the Junior School  

• Integrate technology in the classroom in ways that  enhance the student learning experience and deepen knowledge and conceptual understanding  

• Communicate effectively with parents about all aspects of the overall program and the individual learning of each student  

• Integrate diversity, equity, inclusiveness and belonging into the classroom learning environment  

  Who You Are:

• Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in French

• Primary and Junior teaching qualifications   

• A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice 

• Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset    

• A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning 

• Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others 

• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.
