Health & Physical Education Teacher
Contract - Short Term
Commencing end of August - December 2025

We are seeking a Health & Physical Education Teacher to teach Grade 9 to 12 to start at the beginning of the school year until December 2025. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering an engaging curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and overall well-being among students.

Who You Are:

  • Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in Physical and Health Education 

  • Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications   

  • A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice 

  • Teach students fundamental sports skills, fitness activities, and health concepts

  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback

  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset 

  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment where all students feel motivated to participate

  • A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning 

  • Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others 

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.
