Executive Chef

Location: Rabbitnose Island, Temagami, Ontario 
Type: Full-Time, Seasonal Contract (September 5, 2025 – October 9, 2025)

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE:

As the Executive Chef’s right hand in crafting nutritious and delicious meals for our groups. With access to a state-of-the-art 600 sq. ft. kitchen, fully equipped for culinary creativity, you’ll design, prepare, and deliver well-balanced meals that fuel our outdoor adventures for both students and staff. 

 HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:

  • Culinary Collaboration: Plan and direct food preparation for approximately 60 guests, ensuring each meal is a delightful experience
  • Menu Innovation: Update existing menus or craft exciting new ones that meet high-quality standards
  • Dietary Flexibility: Skillfully adapt meals to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring safe and enjoyable dining for everyone
  • Team Leadership: Oversee all kitchen activities, ensuring a harmonious and efficient culinary environment.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to nutrition, sanitation, and health standards to maintain a clean, high-quality kitchen.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage food purchases to ensure fresh, quality ingredients are always available 
     

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a kitchen environment
  • Current Ontario Food Handler Certification (or equivalent recognized by Health Canada)
  • Strong understanding of dietary accommodations and allergy-safe practices
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and budgeting capabilities
  • Creative, energetic, and team-oriented
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering a positive experience for both students and staff
