Full-Time, Contract Teacher

Job Description

 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

To determine the students’ suitability for the occupation and the training process, to adopt a customer-oriented approach, to prepare the mise en place and dining room, to explain menus and dishes, to take and process orders, to receive and provide information in two of the three official languages, to perform billing and collection operations, to recommend and serve wines, to provide beverage service, to provide banquet service, to provide informal service, to provide formal service, and to integrate into the workplace.

 

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Fluency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English and French);

·        Experience in adult education, and;

·        Experience in multi-level classes.

 

ASSETS:

·        Experience working in hotels and restaurants;

·        Experience in teaching English and French as a second language.

·        Knowledge of the Moodle platform.
