Assistant to the Superintendent of Education
Dryden Board Office/Fort Frances Board Office

The Northwest Catholic District School Board encompasses a large geographical area including the communities of Fort Frances, Stratton, Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Atikokan. The Board is committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities within a faith-based, innovative learning environment.  The successful candidate will assume the position January 1, 2022.

Reporting to the Superintendent(s) of Education, the Assistant to the Superintendent of Education will be part of the Senior Administrative Team of the Board. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with all schools within the Board in managing day-to-day operations, program, instruction, assessment and planning. The successful candidate will be assigned portfolios at the Board level and duties will be assigned by the Superintendent(s) of Education.

Required Qualifications:

  • Religious Education AQ;
  • Master of Education degree qualification or a commitment to complete within 3 years maximum;
  • Several years of progressive educational school leadership experience;
  • Actively practicing Roman Catholic.

  • A current written pastoral reference;
  • Names and contact information for three professional references, one of which must be your current Supervisor. Written authorization to contact references must be included in the application in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act;
  • A 1-page statement of the candidate’s personal philosophy of Catholic Education.
