Status: FT Support

Salary: Band G – Min $30.18 Max $34.98
What you will do:
Reporting to the Manager, Equity & Student Life, the Coordinator, Student Life helps to plan, implement and evaluate all Residence Life major programs and activities for students, to ensure that the strategic and operational objectives of the Residence Life program are achieved. This includes, but is not limited to: oversight of the Transition Support Model program, student conduct program, Residence Life Staff (RLS) recruitment, training, etc. The RLC supervises a student-staff team (8-10 Resident Assistant’s, 1 Residence Community Assistant, etc.) and works to facilitate and support a safe, secure and quality living experience for all students in Residence.
What you bring to the role:
Education: 3 year diploma/degree in Education, Psychology, Public Relations, Social Work, or Human Development
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience and proven success within the field of student services at a post-secondary institution. Any courses in Student Affairs or Student Development Theory will be considered an asset. Direct experience in event planning, advising, training, or working with students at a post-secondary institution is required.
Skills: strong presentation skills; experience in dealing with critical/emergency incidents; and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating student programs and training modules will be considered an asset.
