FUNCTION & DUTIES: Reporting to the Residence Manager, the Cook, Class II assists the Cook, Class I in assuming responsibility for the residence kitchen. In addition to preparing and cooking food for the staff and students who are staying at the residence, the Cook, Class II will have the following responsibilities: Take part in developing balanced menus; Maintain the inventory of supplies and food stocks; Ensure the rotation and judicious use of food stocks so as to avoid serving the same meals too often; Handle receipt of food and goods, and manage stocks; See to the cleanliness and maintenance of the personal work area and the equipment and furniture used; Perform any other related tasks determined by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma of vocational studies in professional cooking, or diploma or attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority; MAPAQ certification.
