An exciting opportunity awaits you with the Provincial Schools Authority working in the Ministry of Education, Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch. We require a 0.5 Technological Director for the Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf – Secondary Program.
The Technological Director will play an integral role in supporting teachers who are delivering technical programs including but not limited to Hospitality, Communications, Transportation and Construction Technology to Deaf students and students with additional or multiple exceptionalities. Effective management and leadership skills are required to successfully coordinate and support the technical studies unit. You will work in a multi-disciplinary setting; assist with IEP’s, report cards, classroom and behaviour management, facilitate case conferences and presentations/arrangements for staff development.
A Head of an Organizational Unit – Tech Director is a teacher who holds a position of responsibility in accordance with Regulation 298 and whose primary job is to assist the Principal in the co-ordination and supervision of a program or unit of study or to act as a consultant for Teachers in improving the methods of instructions and maintaining proper standard of the subjects or program he/she has been appointed to supervise and co-ordinate.
