Reporting to the Administrator of Capital Assets Management and School Finance , the Finance Assistant will provide accounts payable support to the Finance team, through a variety of administrative and financial support functions ensuring accurate school-related payments, fina ncial transactions and reports. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: - Assist with accounts payable processing, including entering invoices and school-related payments;
- Accurately code transactions using assigned account set codes;
- Input and maintain financial information in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and School Cash Suite;
- Support basic account reconciliations and help identify discrepancies;
- Prepare routine reports and spreadsheets;
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation;
- Respond to inquiries from internal staff and external agencies regarding payments and transactions;
- Participate in special projects;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING: - Completion of a post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
- Minimum of six (6) months to a year of previous experience with accounting;
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and School Cash Suite considered an asset;
- Effective time management and organization skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
This is a full time, temporary position HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Catholic Education Centre, Welland
Hourly Rate : $31.78 - $35.31
