CORPORATE TRAINING FACILITATOR (CONTRACT)

Boost LD is hiring an experienced Corporate Training Facilitator to support in-person training programs for our blue collar and trades clients.

The immediate opportunity is a one day workshop for a Vancouver-based union local. This training is designed to help union staff and representatives capture clear, accurate, fact-based notes that support grievance handling, bargaining conversations, workplace meetings, and long-term record keeping.

This is a senior level facilitation role. We are looking for a confident facilitator who understands how to facilitate exercises in an in-class workplace environment workshop. They can build credibility with participants, and can connect training concepts to real workplace situations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Facilitate live, in-person training sessions.
- Create an engaging and practical learning environment where participants can apply new skills.
- Facilitate discussions, activities, and practice scenarios related to:
  - workplace documentation and notetaking
  - grievance and labour relations conversations
  - bargaining and meeting preparation
  - creating clear, factual records
- Support participants in translating concepts into practical tools they can use in their day-to-day roles.
- Provide feedback and coaching during applied exercises and group discussions.
- Partner with Boost's learning design team to understand program objectives, materials, and desired outcomes.
- Participate in a train the trainer session and be well prepared to understand the client and course content at a high level.
- Provide a debrief and summary of training session to demonstrate results from the training.


IDEAL FACILITATOR PROFILE

- Previous experience facilitating adult learning programs, workshops, or training sessions.
- Able to simplify complex topics and create a comfortable learning environment.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to connect concepts to real-world examples.
- Confident managing group discussions with experienced professionals.
- Experience working in or alongside union environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of labour relations, grievance processes, workplace investigations, collective agreements, or similar environments is a plus.
- Practical, approachable, and coaching-oriented.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous facilitation, training, coaching, or instructional experience.
- Direct experience in one or more of the following:
  - labour relations
  - union representation
  - grievance handling
  - workplace investigations
  - HR/employee relations
  - collective bargaining environments
- Comfortable facilitating in person.
- Available for training delivery in Vancouver, BC.

- Contract Type: Independent Subcontractor invoicing Boost
- Delivery Format: In person, Vancouver BC
- Engagement Length: 1 day with opportunity for future facilitation work
- Rate: $85-100 dollars per hour. Travel and mileage negotiable.
