Reporting to the Director of the Human Resources and Payroll, the Assistant Director assists with the overall management of the department and provides advisory services to managers of the Board that support HR goals and objectives. The Assistant Director of Labour Relations is responsible for all programs related to the representation of the Board including the determination, coordination, and implementation of working conditions for unionized staff and managers. This position has primary responsibility for the harmonization of the labour relations approach and strategy and its implementation to ensure consistency with the values, mission, and objectives of the Board.
