The Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch (PDSB) in Ontario offers a unique educational system devoted to providing quality education to Deaf, hard of hearing, Blind, low vision, Deafblind students and students with learning disabilities in a student lodging setting. These specialized programs and services provide resources to families and allow students with special education needs to fully participate in the total school experience, including sports, music, recreational and leadership opportunities.

  • One English-language provincial school for the Blind, low vision and Deafblind (Brantford)

  • Three American Sign Language (ASL)/English provincial schools for the Deaf and hard of hearing (London, Belleville, Milton, Ottawa) 

  • Three English-language demonstration schools for students who have severe learning disabilities (London, Belleville, Milton)  

Resources

PDSB provides preschool services for children with hearing and visual impairments, teacher training, and accessible learning materials for students with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
