Police Services Boards govern police within their jurisdictions primarily by:
- Establishing priorities, objectives, and policies for police services in their community
- Monitoring performance of their police services and its leaders
MISSION: To equip every police board with the knowledge to govern effectively. We will achieve this through advocacy, expertise, and education.
VISION: To be the centre of excellence for police governance in the Province of Ontario. We will lead a community of practice designed to capitalize on the passion, expertise, and diverse perspectives of its members to ensure effective governance of every member police board.
