The Nova Scotia Teachers Union (NSTU) represents over 10,000 active members, including public school teachers (Primary to Grade 12) and Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA) teachers. Since its founding, the NSTU has been dedicated to unifying and elevating the teaching profession and improving education quality across Nova Scotia. Governed by a Provincial Executive and supported by local and regional structures, the NSTU advocates for members' needs and works closely with education partners, government, and the broader community to strengthen public education in the province.
