FINANCE MANAGER
NYAD (Not Your Average Daycare Community Inc.) was founded in 1979 to provide child care for parents volunteering at Scarborough Village Alternate Public School. Over the years, it expanded into various Scarborough schools, including Guildwood and Donwood, and grew its programs to offer care from infants to school-aged children. NYAD collaborated with the Scarborough Board of Education, joined the Dolphin Bingo Association in 1997, and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2019. NYAD remains dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and creative environment for children.
At NYAD we strive to establish positive, responsive relationships with the children and their families to whom we know the child is inseparably connected. We recognize that children are competent contributors with their own interests and points of view. Environments and experiences that allow them to explore ideas, investigate theories, and interact with others in play, is their right.
NYAD is seeking a solutions-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the organization’s financial management and day-to-day accounting operations. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Finance Manager will provide hands-on oversight of the organization’s financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and reconciliations. The Finance Manager will also serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Executive Director and Management Team, providing clear, timely financial information and insights to support sound organizational decision-making.
As a member of the Management Team, the Finance Manager will contribute to organizational planning and help ensure effective financial stewardship of NYAD’s resources. This role would be particularly well suited to a candidate with experience in the nonprofit and licensed childcare sector.
